A professional team burglarized the American National Bank in Amarillo on a Christmas weekend, looting the night deposit safe of about 5000 dollars in cash and unknown checks. Entry was via roof access, using a safe cracker’s pen and hammer blows, with no vault or desks disturbed. Investigators found footprints and tire tracks in fresh snow, traced to the rear alley where a 14 foot ladder and a 14 by 20 inch roof hole were used.
