Fort Worth Oct 20 Organization of two more county committees as part of the expansion program of the Texas Big Bend Park association was announced Saturday. H D Price Culberson county chairman announced the completion of his committee by appointing S L Fields and J M McBride. B L Russell Baird Callahan County chairman completed his by appointing Zack McIntyre Oplin Floyd Coffey Cottonwood Jack Scott Cross Plains E F Butler Clyde J S Yeager Putnam Miss Eliza Gilliand and Haynie Gilliland both of Baird. Price and his committeemen reside in Van Horn. They will solicit all of Culberson county and attempt to enroll as members of the association one per cent of the population of their county. Price is one of the county chairmen appointed by C N Bassett El Paso vice chairman of the association's executive committee and a director of the organization. Will Enroll Members.

Fall Shipment of Livestock From The Alpine Territory Due to Reach Peak Soon
Charles Ament aged 55 died of a heart attack while en route to El Paso from Alpine. He collapsed on Maria Street in Marfa as Mrs Ament tended to business. he was born Feb 3 1886 in Deming NM and had lived in Alpine 13 years working with Mrs Ament in her law office. Funeral plans awaited Mrs Ament and relatives.

7000 Head Jett Davis Lambs Sold to Odessa Man
FORT DAVIS Oct 22 James Duncan, a Davis mountains ranchman, delivered 7000 lambs averaging 49 pounds to Clay Kitchen in the Odessa country. Lambs weighed well for the size and many could exceed 80 pounds. Duncan received nine cents per pound on a rising market before prices hit 10.5 cents, a figure some Jeff Davis county men had already earned.

Sul Ross College reports steady expansion in animal husbandry under A J Merschwale. Donors from West Texas provide registered Herefords and sheep for the foundation herds as 73 students enroll in agricultural courses. The Big Bend Memorial Museum, supported by the West Texas Historical and Scientific Society, grows from a spearhead relic to a $75,000 native stone building housing birds, mammals, minerals, and regional specimens.

Fall livestock movements from Alpine show late lambs at 10 to 11 cents per pound with typical weights 70 to 78 pounds. About 70 carloads of cedar lambs and stocker sheep shipped to Kansas Missouri Oklahoma California Iowa and Fort Worth. Cattle mainly feeders sent to the Corn Belt. seven carloads so far. A registered Black Angus yearling bull from Aikens Kansas to join J E Bay Angus herd. Ranchmen near Alpine Presidio increasing stock sheep shipments with 200 carloads totaling about 30 000 head this year. Santa Fe builds deep proof fence for stocking area right of way.

Change In Personnel of State Highway Patrol Is To Be Made
A personnel shift in the state highway patrol becomes effective November 1. W F Davidson, stationed here for three and a half years, transfers to El Paso’s drivers license office and is replaced by Joshua Hart from Austin. Elton Gilbert of San Angelo, new patrolman, will work with G P Townsend. The two officers are married and will relocate their families here. Davidson sold his Marfa-purchased home to Jerry Starnes.

Campaign collects fifty pounds of tinfoil for Red Cross
