Boy Fatally Hurt by Car on State Highway 118

Three children played near East Avenue J when 3 year old Willie Ramos Ramirez ran into the northbound car driven by Corbin Woodward of Norfolk. The vehicle stopped after the impact and aid was given. Woodward, en route to a Navy post at Midway, traveled with family. funeral services planned at Geeslin Funeral Home with graveside services to follow. Survivors include the parents Jose Ramirez and Lucy Ramos Ramirez, two brothers Hector and Joe Louis, and extended family.

Geologists Lead Big Bend Field Trip Across West Texas

About 200 geologists, students and enthusiasts travel by bus from Sul Ross State College in Alpine to Marfa and through the Big Bend. Led by Dr. Ross A Maxwell and Dr. John W Dietrich, the study highlights regional structure, lavas reefs and geosynclinal beds with updated maps and a guidebook.

Buck Boosters Plan Supper at Central Cafeteria

The Buck Boosters will serve an enchilada supper on Monday evening at the Central Cafeteria starting at 5 30. Proceeds will help buy film for the games and a camera for coverage.

The drama department presents its fall production No Time for Sergeants in the Main Auditorium at 8 15 p m on Monday and Tuesday. Admission is 1 for adults with students admitted on activity cards. Mazatlan convention open to public for Big Bend group

The Big Bend Chapter of the International Good Neighbor Council announces a public convention in Mazatlan on November 11 and 12 with Texas attendees traveling via Ojinaga and Mazatlan. Cost is 60 dollars for transport and services, with limited train space, reservations on a first come first served basis.
