The tour covers Solitario uplift Shafter Presidio Terlingua and Big Bend National Park with early events at 7 30 p m on Wednesday Oct 20 in the Fine Arts Auditorium.

Dog catcher Paul Jones reported 30 dogs caught in 7 days and 142.7 miles traveled. mileage paid 10 cents per mile plus $1.50 per dog. Dogs go to Alpine Vet Clinic with owners covering boarding and vaccination costs. Council considers higher boarding rates and a separate shelter. John W O Donnell to negotiate. The council approved six more trash containers and allowed Water Supt Werner Hollis to attend a Texas A&M course November 15. The Granada Theatre safety concerns were referred to the fire marshal and health officer.
