Koch Pictures of Area To Be Included in Book
Local photographer Peter Koch will contribute color photos to The Wild Flowers of the United States volumes. The two part set covers North Eastern flowers with 1200 color plates and four more volumes will show Big Bend Hill Country and Big Thicket species. About 400 of Kochs transparencies come from within a hundred miles of Alpine Big Bend National Park and the Davis Mountain Country. Dr Barton Warnock of Sul Ross State College oversees the project with Dr Harold W Rickett of the New York Botanical Garden as author and England prints the color plates.
