Black Gap Deer Hunt Permits Draw Set for December
Four hundred permits will be issued for a Black Gap Game Management Area hunt in Brewster County from December 1 to 8. Each permit covers a two day hunt with a target of 160 deer. A drawing will select applicants. applications are mailed from the Austin office of the Texas Game and Fish Commission with entries closing at 9 am Friday, Oct 90. Other hunts include Kerr Area, Engeling Area, Angelina Area, and Sierra Diablo with multiple permit totals. Game cases will go to county court
Game cases arising from violations involving forfeiture of hunting or fishing licenses will be filed in county court. The Game and Fish Commission directs wardens to route these cases to county court since justices of the peace lack jurisdiction when both a money penalty and license forfeiture are involved. If no license is involved, justice court may hear cases such as fishing without a license in the home county.
