District Governor Visits Alpine Pilot Club
Mrs Marguerite Dimerling District Governor of Pilot International paid an official visit to the Alpine Pilot Club on September 25 arriving at 1 05 at the Marfa Alpine air field. She was greeted by club president Margaret Cross and the executive board. The group dined at Vivian McIntyres ranch then held a 7 pm business session at the Christian church with 27 members present. A church ladies banquet followed and a reception committee led by Mae Ament met the president. A Houston friend Mrs Hallie Perry contributed 10 dollars to the charity fund.

Bible Chair At Sul Ross Gets Temporary Prefab Hub
Temporary prefab building 16 by 32 feet was erected on E Ave C for the Bible chair and student center at Sul Ross College. Classes led by Rev Thomas meet in the Baptist church. Car Fails to Make Turn Injures Three Near Santa Fe Crossing
A Sunday crash on the Fort Davis highway north of town injured three people from Wink and two students heading to Sul Ross. J. H. Kelly sustained serious head and neck injuries while Wayne Pierson had minor bruises and Kath ryn Pierson suffered severe facial and throat lacerations. Pierson’s mother escaped unharmed as the car failed to make the crossing turn.
