Rotary Club Reports First Perfect Attendance Month

Eugene Beall of Alpine is among the largest class to graduate from the Harlingen aerial gunnery school in the Rio Grande valley. He is promoted to sergeant on diploma day and receives silver wings after five weeks of intensive training in ground, air, and weaponry. Mrs John Clanton announces the Alpine Parent Teacher Association annual membership drive will run October 8 through 9. Central Junior School children will seek support to win prizes for their rooms.
