Lobos and Rams Deadlock 7-7 In Homecoming Clash

The Lobos and Rams battled to a 7-7 tie in a Saturday night game before about 2000 fans. Injuries hindered the Lobos after a strong start, with Graham scoring for the Lobos and the Rams replying late in the second quarter on a long pass setup. The contest remained tight into the third quarter before Archer’s play drew the action to a close.

A year old Eng led American sailor Josh E Clark completed a three month voyage from England ending with a dramatic return to Se vaneah Gs. Sailor Clark reportedly reinning through one berri ne after guiding decks to Se vaneah. Alpine youths Hari McCall and Floyd Dalton, both 14, with a 22 rifle, claimed an 8 point buck after a night out last week, the kill attribution still undecided between the two boys.

Final date set for split-payment tax plan

Deputy Tax Collector Pink Phelps announced that November 30 is the final date to pay one half of state and county taxes under the split-payment plan. Those paying half by December 1 have until June 30 to complete the final payment, while full payment is due by January 31 if the plan is not used. Only 11 taxpayers had used the option up to this week.

Sul Ross Lights Dedicated at Jackson Field Amid Game

The newly installed lights at Jackson Field were dedicated between halves of the Wesleyan Sul Ross game by Sul Ross president Dr H W Morelock. Representatives from Rotary Lions chamber of commerce Alpine school board and athletic committee were introduced. The Sul Ross Marfa and Alpine bands performed. Several players were honored with final games, including Bo Graham high scorer with 58 points.

Big Bend park plan highlighted by Texas officials

Lobos decline post season game in Odessa

Sanderson Man Dies In Big Bend Car Crash

MARATHON Nov 23 A Mr McDonald of Sanderson was killed when a pickup on the Boquillas Hot Springs road in Southern Brewster county crashed into a bluff and overturned. He died jumping from the vehicle. a companion was slightly injured. The body was taken to Sanderson. Relatives and guests planned Del Rio visits surrounding a Sparkses reunion.
