Lobos Triumph as Muckeits Stop Bearlet Drive in Final Moments
In a tense contest, the Lobos held off a late surge by the Miners as Bearlet and Mabry led defensive stands to preserve the lead. Early on Wilson connected with Walker for the first touchdown after Krudek and Wilson moved the ball from the 28 to the 7 yard line, with a failed conversion ending the third. A fourth quarter pass from Wilson to Mays extended the margin, but a crucial stop prevented a Bearlet comeback and sealed the history-making win. Notable players include Colvin J, Caraway, Mabry, and Taylor among the Lobos lineup.
