The P T A Halloween carnival at the school house on Oct 29 featured a chili supper, King and Queen from Hades, spook performances by first and second graders, and numerous prizes. Donations boosted the PTA fund toward band uniforms, with about $400 raised.
Mrs Raymond Quigg hosted her bridge club at her ranch home on Thursday October 28 with Halloween decor. High score winner was Mrs Jack Todd with Mrs L A Preston second. Mrs L C Ritchey took the traveling prize and Mrs Todd won bingo. Luncheon featured fried chicken and assorted sides. Guests included Mesdames Earl Clark J A Willike andMisses Marie Simpson and Virginia Young.
An afternoon of bridge was hosted by a group of local players including Gage Holland Delmar Collins Ralph Coe Sue McKinney Lee Dragoo J A Mc Gonagill Marshall Roberts Jack Todd Clinton Ritchey H C Wilson L C Ritchey W E Young Buck Treadwell W C Donnell and L A Preston.
The Freshman class held a Hallowe en party Thursday at the club house with mask entry supervised by sponsor E Joe Lee. About 25 attendees enjoyed games and refreshments. A forthcoming football game vs Pyote on Friday November 5 is announced with band performances and a sweetheart crown for Louise Cox.
