The Alpine City Council approved a free parking proposal for the first Friday Saturday and Monday of each month during Opportunity Days but Mayor W E Lockhart vetoed Resolution No 957 yesterday morning. The measure was pushed by the Business Promotion Committee led by Verdis Pack with support from council members and chamber officials to boost out of town shoppers.
