Featherson and Yeager report 639 calves sold to Hamilton Brown Shoe Co with delivery to stock pens at Marathon. Five hundred fifty calves imported from Mexico in February. Hunter Metcalfe to deliver commencement address at Sui Ross College for 48 degree candidates. Dr C T Iley to speak at West Texas Historical and Scientific Society meeting in Alpine. PTA officers installed. City water well drilling to 1188 feet with water in four to five formations and standing 1075 feet deep. Local visits and social events include families from Clarksdale Arizona Groesbeck Cisco and Dallas with gatherings at the Marathon ranch and area towns.
