Prominent Marfa Ranchwoman T. A. Childers Dies
Funeral services were held for Mrs. T. A. Childers 68 a Marfa ranchwoman and civic leader who died Friday night after a short illness. Born in Fort Leavenworth Kansas she led Cuervo ranch operations since 1918 and was noted as a top woman executive in the Highlands guiding water, cattle and community efforts. She served as Marfa chamber of commerce director and supported local music programs.

Prominent Jeff Davis County Family Mourns Loss
Mrs. Bennett B. McCutcheon, longtime Jeff Davis county ranch resident, died Tuesday afternoon May 16 at Fort Davis. Revival Closes at Alpine Church With Nine Additions
L W Bridges of Dalhart led a Christian church revival that ended Sunday. Nine converts were recorded five by immersion and four by statement. Bridges recalled his Alpine debut on Mothers Day ten years ago. He will proceed to Oklahoma for his next meeting with Mrs. Bridges and two children as guests of Fred Willieme and family at Sul Ross College.
