Alpine Schools Honor Roll and Facility Updates
Twenty one students earned honor roll for the fifth six weeks with all A grades needed for listing. Census analysis shows 1198 Alpine children submitted for verification for 1948-49, potential revenue gains of 1980 dollars if all counted, while 103 beginners will enter school next September split between Central ward and Centennial. New concrete tennis courts placed at the south end of the high school auditorium to allow future expansion, with baseline measurements and planned multi use for volleyball and basketball. Thirty five millimeter film strips and a viewlex projector were received for health, punctuation, literature, geometry, and government studies.
