AAA Plan Discussed At Davis Meeting On Farm Improvements

At a Davis meeting Monday afternoon members discussed a proposed AAA plan presented by A J Smith. George Jones chaired. Mrs Otis Morgan Dies In Carbine Accident

Mrs Otis Morgan died after a rifle discharged while she handed it to her husband to place the car after rabbit hunting by the roadside. She was struck in the side and died at Malays, fell town near Carlsbed before a physician could arrive. She was born August 28 1890 in Jacksonville Texas and lived in Alpine before moving to Mona thane with her husband. She was a Baptist and longtime pianist, survived by friends and former classmates.

Texas Miners Trounced by Arizona University Wildcats

Arizona University Wildcats dominated Texas Miners last Saturday night winning 20 to 8 at El Paso. Wildcats used three teams, rotated players freely, and disrupted the Miners passing game by intercepting five passes and bottling up Muchery’s running attack. Erwin Streus of Berlin, 13, began composing music at age 3 joins a band that has grown in popularity.

Health Day Observed With Boys and Girls Week Program

Health day activities closed the boys and girls week with services at the Baptist church where youth led all morning and evening worships. A union service at the Methodist church featured Rev. M A Buhler speaking on God's Greatest Example. A soap box derby on College Avenue drew hundreds, with Ibert Vanney winning and a team driven car placing second. prizes for top five and nearly a hundred donations from Alpine merchants funded the event alongside Friday field meet prizes.
