Park pictures will be shown at Bal Ros College at 10:15 tomorrow morning. Delegates were to canvass the town this week to promote sales.

William B Phelps age 27 died in an El Paso hospital after an early morning car crash 18 miles east of El Paso. The Alpine native had been en route with John Hillmith Jr and others. Highsmith drove and survived with minor injuries. Funeral held at Chitrilan church with Rev M A Buhlee officiating. Survived by mother Lillie V Phelps and father W B Phelps Sr with several relatives attending from across Texas.

Jir H. Dyer, holder of a B A from Sul Row College and pursuing a Master’s at Sul Ross, was chosen as superintendent for Valera Centennial Schools last Wednesday night. The new district, formed in the centennial year of Texas, currently employs 13 teachers with plans to add more. The celebrated Dyer couple, Mr and Mrs Bolinger, will have duties in the school’s progress.
