Holy Week Services Mark Blessing of Palms and Easter Observances
Our Lady of Peace parish begins Holy Week with palm blessing and procession before the 10:30 Mass. The week includes daily confessions 4–6 and special services for the Feast of the Resurrection, with Good Friday, Holy Saturday, and Easter rites detailed. The Alpine Junior High Student Council sponsors a talent show at 1 p.m. today in the Junior High Gym. Contestants are students of the school. Prizes awarded for first to third place. ribbons for others. Admission is 15 cents for students and 25 cents for adults. All proceeds support student council projects. Happy Easter.

City retires more warrants with tax funds
The City pays off warrants totaling 40000 this year from the 1 tax. The council authorizes 15000 to retire the remaining warrants and 2000 for airport building warrants. A state sales tax check of 16003.98 brings fiscal year receipts to 51486595. The 1970-71 budget is approved at 478800 and a March 31 called meeting will set a payment schedule for the Municipal Building.
