Alpine Rotary backs scholarship fund with play proceeds
Alpine High School interscholastic league play Dark Wind raised about 129 dollars for the Rotary Club scholarship fund. The show won first place in the IL contest in Crane last Friday night and Rotary Secretary John Bumgardner noted appreciation to Supt. Peyton Cain, cast members and contributors at the Alpine High auditorium Monday evening.

Alpine Masons confer Master Mason degree with Knights Templar help
Eighty five Master Masons from Odessa Pecos Monahans Grand falls Imperial Fort Stockton Fort Davis Marfa and Alpine attended Alpine Lodge No 766 where a Master Mason degree was conferred by Alpine Commandery No 90 Knights Templar under Grand Lodge of Texas dispensation. Afterward refreshments were served. Alpine Commandery plans another Master’s degree for Fort Stockton lodge next Tuesday night.

The Koury apartments two duplexes on College Hill are sold to Alpine real estate and insurance man Marvin C Kay who plans to take over about April 1. Kay gathered material for a Better Homes and Gardens story while here. Mr and Mrs William Miller were on assignment for Chrysler publication People and Places, stating the piece may include a park scene on the cover and illustrations.
