Marathon FHA selects delegates and plans events in 1960s Texas
The Marathon Future Homemakers chapter held a regular session on March 12 with Sherry Thompson presenting Etiquette for Area Meeting. Joyce Morin and Faith Smith were chosen to attend the State FHA meeting in Dallas April 23 to 25, while committees planned PTA entertainment and National FHA week activities. New members Lupe Rodriguez Elcira De Leon Bette Barnett Mary Haley and Nancy Young will be initiated. Various local families attended meetings brief notes include Mrs. Bill Donnell hosting a bridge club and plans for Mike Leary’s St Patrick's Day party. Activities at the high school included fundraising for Red Cross and basketball games. Hidalgo Ward PTA met March 10 with a Foster Party reminder and a room award to Mrs. Potter's class.
