Marathon hosts a July fourth barbecue at the Pos Deglaning with a 1 dollar adult plate and 50 cent children 12 under, plus games from softball to swimming. Sponsored by the American Legion Auxiliary, the event includes a bake sale June 29 at Ranchland Drug and a July 1 auxiliary meeting.
