Fort Davis remembered Fourth of July pyrotechnics and local tales
Old Fort Davis residents recall a rare public Fourth of July display on Sleeping Lion Mountain about 35 years ago. Harold Thompson and Harry Grierson share memories of the event. George W. Medley, a Bloys Camp founder and Fort Worth resident, died. J. W. Merrill’s son George plans a home visit from Buffalo with his wife and two boys next month. An Angora goat on a local ranch produced 11 offspring in under a year, owned by Nick Mersfelder. Johnny Prude will be principal and coach at Seagraves School next year. John Killoughs are at the ranch.
