City council approves office equipment purchases in Fort Stockton
The City Council unanimously approves buying a 4 drawer filing cabinet for 98.75 and two reconditioned typewriters from Pioneer Office Supply of Fort Stockton. Police buy two reconditioned machines for 99.50 and 125.99 to replace old surplus units. Also notes local visit by Mr and Mrs Arthur D Black shear to San Antonio.

Alpine City Golf Championship Invites Local Men
All men 21 or over in Alpine are invited to the Alpine Men's City Golf Championship on Saturday and Sunday, July 18 and 19. Eight players per flight compete in 54 hole match play. Entry is $5 each. Qualifying rounds run July 11 to 17 with shotgun start at 1 p.m. July 18. Sunday tees at 8 a.m. and 1:30 p.m.
