Dr. Van Earl McFarland age 69 prominent Eagle Pass physician died last Sunday. His brother in law E E Townsend of Alpine was advised. McFarland served as camp physician at the old Mariposa mine in southern Brewster county around 1906 to 1910 and was well known to Brewster county residents who hosted him at Townsend home.
