Mrs. Katie Roberts formerly Katie Kimball died Sunday January 11 at Valleys Nursing Home after a long illness in Marathon. Funeral services set for Friday January 16 at 3 30 p m at First Baptist Church Marathon with Rev Simmons officiating. Burial in Marathon Cemetery under Geeslin Funeral Home. Survivors include daughter Mrs Mary Pugh of Springerville. sons Travis Roberts of Marathon and O W Roberts of Alpine. sisters Mrs Nellie Davis and Mrs Addie Lee. brother John Kimball. nine grandchildren 17 great grandchildren and a great great grandchild. She was born January 15 1883 in Bandera and came to Marathon from Ozona in 1894. She married Jim Roberts February 15 1903 in Alpine. he died in 1960.
