Charles M. Hunter Dies Noted Southwest Writer Photographer
Charles M. Hunter known as Charley to many in the Southwest died Sunday in Dallas after a six week illness. A celebrated photographer and writer, he lived in Alpine where his funeral is set for Wednesday at First Presbyterian Church. Burial will be in Elm Grove Cemetery. He was 50? decades old. He served in the Navy as a photo grapher's mate and later opened Hunter's House of Better Photography in Alpine. He studied at Sul Ross State College and was active with the Rotary Club and Civil Air Patrol. He is survived by his widow and four children.
