Final Rest for Don Juan de G Seda in Marathon

A long cortege carried the body of Don Juan de G Seda to Marathon cemetery for burial after a Christmas Eve death in Alpine. Friends from Alpine, Marathon, Boquillas, and beyond joined a large interment, noting his tolerance and hospitality at the Boquillas store and dining place. He moved from Sabinas Hidalgo to Boquillas in 1890, later relocating to the American side in 1925 with wife Chata, who operated the business. he would have been 64 on January 24, 1957.
