Charles Dockson a Detroit manufacturer was flown from Odessa to Dallas for specialist care after fog grounded a Dallas ambulance plane. Pilot Clint Thompson operated the four and a half hour flight Sunday with nurse Florence Labelle. Dockson had been ill since January 16 while returning from California. his wife and Sterling Dockson traveled by auto to Dallas. In Spencer Ia it is unlawful to make personal remarks about passers-by.

Skeeter Tyler 18 Former Alpine Resident Dies in Las Vegas
Lelan Tyler known as Skeeter, 18, former Alpine resident, died January 27 in Las Vegas after a three day illness. Born December 28, 1922 in Randolph Nebraska, he moved to Alpine as a baby and later relocated with his mother to California. He is survived by his mother Mrs Dena B Tyler, a sister Mrs Sam Ross of Dallas and a half sister Mrs Clarence Hord Jr of Saragosa. Funeral services were held at the Presbyterian church with Rev Fred Rogers officiating and interment at Elm Grove cemetery under Akers Funeral Home.
