Cold spell ends as the Davie Mountains Highlands endure a heavy snowfall Monday night and Tuesday. Early reports say moisture will benefit the ranges and support early spring weed crops. Ranchers completed fall roundup and all shipping was finished before the storm, with favorable range conditions through the season.
Fort Davis Texas December 19 The highway commissioners of Jeff Davis County have hired Ford Bell of Valentine as cattle inspector at 75 per month to guard against disease. With 100000 to 150000 head shipped from the region cattlemen stress quarantine protection and note only a few isolated scab cases have appeared in the area.
