Mr and Mrs R F Mayfield Purina Mills representative and his wife were bruised and scratched when their car struck a cattle guard opposite the Mike West ranch on the Marfa road. The Mayfields were returning from Marfa and were taken to Alpine by the other occupants. Both were not believed seriously injured.
