Devie Ranch Improves Conservation Plan West of Marathon
Devie Ranch, with Decie Brothers and the Big Bend Soil Conservation District, completes a basic plan five miles west of Marathon. Projects include brush control on draws and uplands, grazing rest for low vigor pastures, chisel plowing, pipelines, tanks, troughs, two wells, and net wire diversions to spread water and reduce minor cuts. Mr. Decte leads the plan with Soil Conservation Service Technicians.
