Alpine Chamber of Commerce reports more than 20 responses after a Rotarian magazine ad reaching 400,000 readers. Inquiries about Alpine as a retirement location came from states including Illinois New Jersey Louisiana Indiana Pennsylvania Delaware Iowa and Arizona. The chamber will mail Alpine brochures two community profiles weather sheets Sul Ross College bulletin The Avalanche and letters from Rotary president Ed Foley and chamber president Verdis Pack.
