All dormitories will be filled aided by three new facilities, Highland Apartment, Sul Ross Village, and a new boys dormitory at Keesey Kimball. Re Evaluation Study Rejected by Alpine Independent School District
The Alpine Independent School District rejected reevaluation studies by McMorries Co. The Board of Equalization recommended nonacceptance. The district will increase revenue using 48 percent of 1966 valuation and a $1.65 rate. Board members and superintendent cited contract terms and payment conditions.

City's 1967 audit notes need for higher revenues with ad valorem tax increase or 1 percent sales tax. Council approves transferring about 75 percent of tax and fee collections to debt service and limits on water sewer funds to meet debt retirement for year ending March 31 1968. Rain measuring station planned in Sunny Glen Canyon
The City of Alpine accepts a proposal from the U S Geological Survey to establish a rain measuring station in Sunny Glen Canyon. The government will operate it at no cost to the city on land owned by Mrs Nell Gardner pending her approval. Mayor Homer Hadgim reported at the Tuesday council meeting.
