Paisano Meet Opens With Record Turnout
The 25th Paisano encampment session opened Monday night with the largest attendance since the war began. About 600 persons camped on the grounds and many more drove from nearby towns. Housing was full as applications for tents and cottages were returned. Two missionaries to China, Mrs. Eugene Sallee and Miss Manche Groves, spoke, having been held by the Japanese before returning home. Postwar improvements include a planned tabernacle and conversion of the old one into a dining hall.
