Power House at Chisos Mine Destroyed by Fire
A fire destroyed the power house at the Chisos mine in Terlingua, located in the southern part of the county. Exhaust from an engine ignited combustibles in the engine room, starting the blaze. A new engine has been ordered and should be operating within a few days.

The 2 p.m. meeting at the courthouse will introduce new simplified price regulations and delegated duties to local panels. A second 8:30 p.m. session will cover issues from the trade, with officials Howard Gholson Clarence Nichols and others attending.
