Body of Youth Found at Ft Davis in Rocks Above Old Fort
Dolores Dominguez twenty one year old son of Mr and Mrs Alec Dominguez a well known Fort Davis family was found dead in the rocks above the old fort last Friday afternoon by three Fairchild boys. Authorities and Dr C E Eaton say a blow to the head or a bullet through the hatband may have killed him. Two empty .32 cartridges were found but no gun. Missing about three weeks he had been in CCC company work recently. Rangers Game Wardens and local officers aided in the investigation. Five Mexicans were jailed Saturday then released except one held as the scientific examination continued. The body was buried Saturday morning.

Former Legislator From This District Dies In San Antonio
M. M. McFarland, longtime state legislator from this district and former Alpine resident, died in a San Antonio hospital last week at age 70 and was buried in Austin. He helped locate Sul Reg college, and survivors include his former wife Alice McFate land in California and son Jack, a Tucson-based Ut pictures cameraman, both previously living in Alpine.
