Cap Anglin Veteran Texas Officer Dies at Alpine
A. E. Cap Anglin a longtime Texas law officer died Sunday at his Alpine home. Born in Gonzales he served 50 years in Texas law enforcement including as a Texas Ranger U S Marshal city marshal and sheriff. He died after weeks of ill health with a career spanning the Rio Grande region and later Alpine.
