Antioch Boy Loses Finger While Playing
Little Harold Herian of Antioch, son of Mr and Mrs C W Herian, lost a finger Sunday while children were at a water tank. He was chopping ice with a hatchet when his left ring finger was severed at the joint. He received medical care in Alliance.

Alliance Special Agents Nab Bootleggers in Crawford Yard
Alliance Special Agents with W S Short and Martin along with Chief Norton of Crawford arrested Louis Henderson in a Crawford railroad yard and seized two pouches of moonshine whisky. Ernest Gorhan was later captured at a Crawford reducing house and charged with sending liquor to the bunk car. Gorhan paid a $50 fine and costs while Henderson faced $25 and costs after appearing before Judge Eoch.

Word reached Alliance relatives Monday of the death of Albert Hadley a Box Butte county pioneer and early Alliance resident. He died at the soldiers home in Hot Springs SD. Mrs Fred Hadley and son Fred and Mrs Violet Shanks Bri were with him. Other relatives live in Alliance.
