Alliance Art Studio offers photos for Xmas and a framed pictures sale. Other notices advertise four large rental rooms near the post office and fur coat repairs.
A roundup of city social visits business moves and incidents. Births marriages and travels involve Mr and Mrs K C Strong Mrs J W Browhar Grace Wheeler F W Irish and others. Fire destroys Joseph Yanders residence while Northwest Nebraska Teachers meet Crawford Nov 27-28.
After exhaustive legal efforts to save Tom Horn the alleged killer of Willie Nickel, Horn was hanged this morning. A Cheyenne dispatch reports he was executed at 1 o'clock in the forenoon, despite fears of a rescue attempt by Horn's friends. Police precautions reportedly prevented any trouble.

Also notes on church services, theater, and local business.

Alliance residents will attend a declamatory contest at the city high school opera house next Saturday at 8 PM with fourteen contestants split into nine in dramatic and five in humorous classes. Judges will be non local. winners advance to Crawford on November 27 to face six other district schools. Admission is 25 cents. large attendance expected.
The season's first cold wave swept the nation over Sunday to Tuesday with Jack Frost. Nebraska felt the chill as temperatures plunged to 5 below zero while Alliance saw 10 below near Sheridan. At Valley Forge at Phelan's opera house Tuesday night a fair crowd endured the cold to enjoy a strong cast and favorable reception.

Cows brought 2 to 2.50 and feeders 4 to 4.75 per hundredweight. The market was strongest Wednesday of the week.

The Royal Highlanders met in secret session and held a regular meeting with a fair at tendance. Two refugees awaited crossing to become fair lady Highlanders. After closing, members played high five with good play all around. Fair Lady Burriss and Clansman Owens emerged as winners.
