Funeral Services Held for Mrs John Lawrence
Mrs John Lawrence of Fairview died suddenly on her seventy sixth birthday. Funeral services were conducted at the Fairview church with Rev Stephen J Epler in charge. Born Mary Ann Davis November 15 1845 in Tredegar Wales she emigrated to America in 1863. She and John Lawrence lived in various states before homesteading in Box county Nebraska and later moving to the Lawrence property where their son Tom resided. Four daughters and five sons were born to the couple three sons survive: John R Tom J and Dan R. The family joined the Fairview Methodist church in 1907.
