The Lincoln Commercial Club with seventy five Lincoln business men and a twenty piece band travels by special train to visit here on May 18 for hands shaking and acquainting. The tour marks their first regional trip in four years and lists many sponsoring firms and local businesses.
Babbitt Devel & Company begins operations in Alliance led by W H Babbitt. Partners include H P Deuel and Mrs Hattie L Deuel with Deuel bringing railroad experience and Mrs Devel handling accounts and correspondence. Office in room 11 Runner Block amid Herald promotion and ads.
The council met Tuesday evening May 2 with Mayor Harris presiding. Petitions and bonds for saloons from Riordan Lat Rehder Campbell Cook Betxolid were presented and accepted. Appointments named: City Attorney Barker Street Commissioner Carlson Health Officer Bellwood Supt of Light and Water Kemmish President Newberry Marshall Hunsaker Night Marshall Braman and City Clerk Emerick.
