Members of Holy Rosary Church are notified that Sunday services will henceforth be held at the chapel of St. Agnes Academy.
The Herald highlights the Michelin Automobile tire sold in Alliance by the Wheaton-Ellis company. It is one of the best known tires and auto owners can save money by investigating it.
Dr. Bellwood, a Burlington surgeon, travelled to Guernsey at the week's end to see Harry Bayles, the passenger conductor on the Guernsey line, who recently broke his leg in two places. Bayles is improving and may soon be brought to Alhance for an X ray examination.
Alliance High School presents a spring program on Friday May 12 featuring two musical portions and a college farce titled A Case of Suspension. The program includes solos duets and full orchestra with selections from noted composers and a humorous stage farce.
The Herald calculates that recent rains and snow increased Box Butte county land value by about 4.53 million dollars with 453,126 acres rising an average ten dollars per acre. Frank Watson a 29 year old man said to be wanted in Alliance Nebraska for safe blowing was arrested Monday evening by Patrolmen Wolff and Cole. He claims mistaken identity but will be held until an officer from Alliance arrives to verify if he is the wanted man. A woman of the underworld who supplied the information says he told her he puffed a box in Alliance and a $500 reward is offered for his arrest.
The Yeomen organize a literary social at Oddfellows Hall on Friday May 5 at 8 pm. Members may invite four guests. Program includes piano solos Norman McCorkle Ruth Taylor Alta Young and Miss Evalyn McBurney readings Mrs. F L Parsons Mrs R L Laing and a brass quartet plus A S Bugle Calls by E G Laing and G M Burns pupils.
Mr and Mrs F H Pardey expect their son Herbert C Pardey and partner Ben Holmes to arrive May 6 for a short visit before heading to Great Falls Montana to open a 50 week engagement in western vaudeville. Holmes starred in Ole Olson. Pardey is a home boy with a rising dramatic reputation.
On Tuesday April 25 Box Butte county seniors gathered to honor Mr and Mrs M P Nason for their fiftieth wedding anniversary in an old Vermont sod house. The event featured singing old sacred songs a large dinner served by the Nason women and a moving note from Mrs Fred Nason who had just recovered from surgery in Lincoln. The afternoon closed with gifts a farewell song and thanks for the occasion.
Northwestern Nebraska and nearby regions saw a dramatic change from drought to moisture as a heavy snowfall and rapid melt turned ground to water. The report notes improved prospects for crops and pasture and mentions Charlie Nation moving to Cheyenne for a barber job after returning from Washington.

Reward offered by Mrs F B Disamer 72-21-21 for information leading to recovery.
Zadock Goodwin known as Uncle Zed dies at 89 in Alliance after a life as a noted pioneer cattleman. Born in Virginia September 27 1831 he drove hogs to Cincinnati before settling twenty five years ago in Box Butte. Survived by wife Rebecca Sidler six children Mary Acton Anna Gibson Florence Sharp Rachel Goodwin James Goodwin Merrill Zadock Goodwin Jr funeral at Alliance M E Church May 1 conducted by Rev J L B Jones.
Brakeman Burke Conductor Swift and many crews were on leave or reassigned as a blizzard hit the line. No. 45 and No. 46 crews faced delays with a derailment near Mystic, stock moved to Alliance, and dispatchers coordinated repairs as routes reopened.
