State Normal Schools of Nebraska Continued

The 1889 era marked the school’s peak as social and academic life flourished. Dr. Curry guided graduating students with a party atmosphere before commencement and strong Christian influence. Farnam succeeded him, expanding astronomy and surveying, while Miss Eliza Morgan shaped dress and discipline. The era saw new facilities, lectures, and leadership transitions culminating in 1904 with J. W. Crabtree as president and enrollment rising to 720 in earlier years.
