Bright Young Man Dies After Tuberculosis Battle
George Hoffman twenty four year old from Carroll county Iowa arrived in the city last November to seek treatment for tuberculosis. He died at his Cheyenne avenue rooms last Tuesday at 12 20 pm after a heroic struggle as his father and brother arrived Saturday. Father McNamara and assistant gave Holy Eucharist and Extreme Unction to comfort him as he faced eternity. He faced death with Christian fortitude.

Funeral for George Hoffman Told in Alliance Notes
George Hoffman died after a brief illness at 12:20 p.m. His sister Mary cared for him and he was laid to rest in Willey Iowa with funeral arrangements to be held there Saturday. In Alliance Geo Carrell of Hemingford and Frank Green visited The Herald. Carrell recently entered real estate, while Green plans a visit to Vermont. A Baptist church musical program, led by Mrs E B Burris, is planned with date to be announced.
