Local ads advertise 25 percent cash discounts at Rodgers and Pilkington's for dishes and flour America patent flour. Dentists Dr Allen and Dr Koons listed with offices and hours. Miller Bros and Eagle Pharmacy promote products, loans offered by F E Reddish, and a 10 day sale at Fred's. Also notices for house sale, a cook wanted, and fountain treats at Hewaco.
Readable notices advertise a shoe sale at Fred's Family and prompt prescription service at Eagle Pharmacy. The items mention a registered man providing attentive care.
Alliance will host Gentry Bros Circus and Menagerie on August 29. The traveling show is described as among the finest in the country with many features that surpass other circuses of its kind.
E P Woods of this city attended the Royal Highlanders Representative castle meeting in Sheridan last Saturday and was elected as the delegate to the Executive castle to meet in Denver September 11.

The Eagles society of this city with other local groups plans for the national convention in Denver next week. Officials expect one of the largest crowds to visit Colorado's capital during the gathering.
County commissioners have been in session since Monday and adjourned today until August 1. The levy was set and many claims allowed. details will appear in the next issue. County valuation stands at 1,096,109.29 dollars, slightly below last year. The county levy remains 13 mills, the state levy 7 mills, a half mill less than last year.
Races Saturday afternoon at 3 o'clock are expected to draw interest with horses entered by entrants not residing in Alliance.
