Des Moines Miner Arrested in Lena Peterson Murder Case
Thomas Lewis a 28 year old miner at Marquisque was arrested by Constable Wu Sanbery and a deputy sheriff for first degree murder in the Lena Peterson case. He was arraigned at Justice Aylesworth’s court and committed without bail. The weapon is unnamed in the filing, and Lewis was alleged to have been near the crime scene on the night it occurred. The murder happened near Highland Park college last spring as children were returning home from church.
