W B Arnold founder of Arnold's Park at Lake Okoboji fought the Milwaukee Road over land price. He refused to sell as price climbed from 7500 to 40000 and finally to 50000, declaring never to sell for any amount. The railroad halted Okoboji excursions after his stand.
