The report states enemy raiders are lurking off the Atlantic coast. No additional sinkings have been reported, but U boats are still lying in wait for victims.
Washington reports Fernanys submarine raiders remain off the Atlantic coast with eighteen ships sunk. Survivors described a sighting of a submarine and an American transport, but officials have not confirmed a mother ship presence.
In Boston on June 16 naval authorities ordered outward bound ships to remain within the harbor until morning with no explanation given.
