Whiteside County census enumerators attend instruction session

R C Ewing, a census enumerator from Albany and Newton, joined district Supervisor M J Gannon and assistant Paul Phillips in Morrison for a county enumerators instruction school. All day meeting drew 100 percent attendance as new procedures were explained. Myrtle Clark of Garden Plain to replace Clarence Sweet. several subs attended. Lester Nelson family and baby Belva Jeanne of Moline visited Whiteside folks. Belva Jeanne learning to toddle and proud family notes.

Arrives Home From Hospital After Auto Mishap

Alfert Walker returned to his Newton township home after a truck accident near Moline Illinois. He was treated at Moline Public Hospital for injuries to his left arm and elbow. X rays showed no broken bones and he is slowly improving.
