Commander John Van Horn of Sitka presides as officers are elected at 1 p.m. and a memorial service is held at 5 p.m. New department officers will be installed after the ceremony. a banquet at the Masonic temple concludes the session.

Three boats landed halibut during the past week. On June 16 the Middleton delivered 44,000 pounds to Kayler-Dahl for 22-60-19 and 15. June 17 the Augusta brought in 17,000 pounds for Knut Thompson at 21-17-12. June 19 the Hazel H delivered 34,000 pounds with K-D paid 21-18-14. There was 4,000 pounds of salmon, 3,000 large and 500 each small and white. prices 33 for large and 22 for small and whites.

Tax Assessor Starts Work in Local City
Mrs. Ragnar Stokke began duties as city tax assessor for the year and told the town council she has started work locally. A planned Juneau trip, approved June 9, will be postponed temporarily to allow talks with tax officials on boat taxes and delinquent boats. The American Legion Auxiliary plans library support, and Miss Mina Olson asked for hospital exterior painting, which was referred to the hospital committee. All councilmen attended except Eldor Lee.

Roy Gilbert Peterson, a fisherman of Escanaba, Michigan, died Thursday night of a heart attack shortly after finishing dinner. He had lived here about 20 years and is survived by his brother Arthur Peterson. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Monday at the Salvation Army chapel with burial in Petersburg cemetery.

SUP Clears Barges Carrying Essentials To Southeast Alaska

False Claims Bring Charges In Unemployment Case

M E Hardy district tarker with the U S Forest Service arrives from Cordova on Wednesday and will be stationed in Petersburg. His wife Mrs Hardy and their three children Peter 6 David 5 and Paulinne 1 accompany him. The household goods are crated on the Seward dock awaiting transport to Petersburg when the strike ends. Hardy was in Juneau for 14 months and Cordova for about a year before coming to Petersburg.

Well Child Clinics Resume Immunization Drive
